未来少年コナンのダイス船長のトレードマークである髭の下に、なぜか無精髭が生えているという有名なシーンです。宮崎駿と、ルパンで同じみの大塚康生による作画シーンです。貴重な大きめバストアップ正面構図。

78年当時の放送使用セルのため、経年による波打ちやビネガー感はありますが、ネットでたまに出てくる日本アニメーションのリセールセルとは違い、真の本物であり、貴重な宮崎駿さんの作品の一部です。

This is the famous scene from Future Boy Conan where Captain Dyce, known for his trademark mustache, inexplicably has stubble growing beneath it. The animation in this scene was done by Hayao Miyazaki and Yasuo Otsuka, known for their work on Lupin the Third. It features a rare, large close-up, front-facing composition.

As this is an original production cel used in the 1978 broadcast, there is some natural warping and vinegar syndrome due to age. However, unlike the resale cels occasionally seen online from Nippon Animation, this is a genuine piece — a true part of Hayao Miyazaki’s early work and a rare collector’s item.
